Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective October 19, 2026
About this notice
This notice describes consumer health information processed by AI Patient Guide, operated by 916 Technologies. It supplements our Privacy Policy, including for people protected by Washington or Nevada consumer health privacy laws. The service is currently in preview; please do not enter real health information while the preview notice is displayed.
Information, sources and purposes
Health information can include patient profiles and linked identifiers; birth dates; physical or mental health conditions; symptoms; diagnoses attributed to their source; measurements, laboratory results and clinical reports; medications, procedures and visits; clinicians; uploaded files and notes; and questions, conversations and AI-generated explanations or inferences. Reproductive, sexual, genetic or substance-use information may be included if submitted in records or free text.
Sources are you, people you authorize, documents and records submitted through supported features, service operations and generated explanations. We use this information to organize and display records, provide explanations you request, compare available history, support authorized sharing, protect the service and respond to privacy requests. AIP does not independently diagnose or select treatment.
Sharing and recipients
Depending on the feature, categories disclosed include selected questions and record context for AI processing; health-record content and files processed by infrastructure; sharing permissions and linked identifiers; support content you send; and exports or other disclosures you request.
Recipients include authorized caregivers; hosting, database, authentication, storage, backup and security providers (including Vercel, Supabase, Google Cloud and GitHub); Google Workspace for support email; and the AI provider identified by your plan or settings, which may include Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or xAI. Provider-specific processing varies. Legally required disclosures may occur as described in our Privacy Policy. Stripe receives billing information, rather than health records through our billing integration.
We do not sell consumer health information or use it for behavioral advertising. We do not use health-facility geofencing for advertising or health-data tracking. This notice does not itself authorize unrelated collection or sharing; separate permission is obtained where required.
Your choices and requests
Use Data & Privacy to access export, health-data deletion and account-closure controls. Record owners can change or revoke caregiver access. You can stop requesting AI processing and contact us about withdrawing permission for future collection or sharing. Previous processing and copies already obtained by independent recipients cannot necessarily be undone.
Where applicable, you can request confirmation of processing, access to health information, information about actual third-party and affiliate recipients and contact mechanisms, withdrawal of consent and deletion. We address recipient-deletion notices and backup handling as required by applicable law. Verification may be needed; applicable legal deadlines and exceptions govern our response.
Our general Privacy Policy explains encryption, retention and backup limitations. Intentional deletion is not a recovery service for information you later want restored.
Contact and appeals
Email support@aipatientguide.com with the subject “Health privacy request” or “Privacy appeal,” including if you cannot access your account. Do not include passwords, API keys or full medical records. We will verify requests proportionately, respond under applicable law and explain denials and available appeals. You may also contact the appropriate state regulator, including the Washington or Nevada Attorney General.
