Mission Statement
AI Patient Guide exists to help people understand what is happening with their health.
Medical care produces an overwhelming amount of information—test results, vital signs, medications, doctor conversations, visit notes, and trends over time. Much of it is written for healthcare professionals, not patients.
Our mission is to turn that information into clear, personal explanations: what it means, why it matters, how it is changing, and what questions you may want to ask next.
AI Patient Guide does not replace your doctor or make medical decisions for you. It helps you better understand the information your healthcare team gives you so you can have more informed conversations and take a more active role in your care.
About AI Patient Guide
Healthcare gives patients more access to their medical information than ever before. The problem is that access is not the same thing as understanding.
A patient portal may show you that your creatinine is 1.4, your blood pressure is 138/84, or that a radiology report mentions “bibasilar atelectatic change.” But it often stops there.
AI Patient Guide picks up where the medical record leaves off.
Ask AIP about a test result, your current vitals, a recent visit, something your doctor said, or a change you’ve noticed over time. AIP brings together the information available in your health record with the context of your question and explains it in plain language.
Instead of simply showing you numbers, AIP helps answer questions such as:
- What does this mean?
- Why should I care about it?
- Is this getting better, worse, or staying about the same?
- How does this compare with my previous results?
- What might my doctor be watching?
- What questions should I ask at my next appointment?
When AIP uses information from your medical record, it can show you the sources behind its explanation so you can see which test results, visits, vitals, or other records contributed to the answer.
You can also simply tell AIP what happened:
“My doctor said I have some basilar atelectasis. What does that mean?”
or paste a result you just received and ask AIP to explain it.
Over time, AI Patient Guide is designed to be there throughout the healthcare journey—helping you prepare for an appointment, understand what was discussed during the visit, interpret new results afterward, and recognize meaningful changes in your health over time.
Your medical record contains the facts. Your healthcare team provides the care. AI Patient Guide helps you understand what it all means.
